The city of Minneapolis is a metropolis full of opportunity nestled in the heart of the Midwest. Always buzzing with action and known for its hospitality and warmth (not in temperatures) it is a city that has something for everyone. The Orthodox Jewish community has experienced tremendous growth over the past decade due to an affordable cost of living, employment opportunities and excellent education opportunities. Our elementary school has reached 270+ students of late and boasts a 50,000+ sq. building with additional play area facilities. Torah Academy is seeking a General Studies Principal for the 2017-2018 school year. As a senior member of the school’s administrative team, the General Studies Principal (GSP) will be a partner with other members of the administrative team to provide an outstanding educational experience to our students. The GSP will be a strong presence around the school, voicing school policies, communicating ethical standards for the school community, and of course mentor teachers and oversee curriculum. The GSP will lead by building strong connections with individual students, parents, and faculty, and working collaboratively with these constituencies to further TA’s mission. The ideal candidate will possess (i) Outstanding interpersonal and supervisory skills for interacting with students, staff, parents, and peers, (ii) Excellent administrative/technological skills, (iii) An advanced degree in education from an accredited university, (iv) Experience in school administration, (v) Thorough knowledge of elementary curricula.
